Spring weather is often considered to be a seasonal launch to brunch hosting. One of my favorite drinks to serve for breakfast gatherings is an ice cold orange julius. It has the frothy smoothness of a smoothie, invigorating zest of traditional OJ and sweetness of an orange creamsicle. Since I’m not a mimosa drinker, this is my go-to beverage for brunches and breakfast parties.
Orange Julius Recipe
6 oz frozen orange juice concentrate
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 Tbsp granulated sugar
1 cup water
10-12 ice cubes
Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth. Serve immediately.
Pour mixture into tumblers, champagne flutes, mason jars or other drinking glass and serve with a straw, lemon/lime/orange slice and/or mint leaves for garnish. I love using doilies as coaster decorations to add color, design and inexpensive flair to a table. Enjoy your refreshing orange julius!
