Today is the first day of spring and what better way to celebrate the change in seasons than with a sweet and colorful Easter dinner tablescape? Easter Sunday is less than two weeks away (April 1st) and I adore all of the displays and decorations for this fresh time of year. I always get antsy for this al fresco dining, fresh produce picking, and garden selecting season. I’ve also decided that southern California spring is the best spring. It’s the perfect temperature and weather and everything is growing in abundance (even if that includes weeds) with fresh vegetables and fruits everywhere.
For this year’s Easter dinner tablescape, I wanted a table with pops of color and a variety of textures (the straw placemats, solid wood, soft linens and silky flowers). Mixing fresh-cut florals, metallic flatware, crystal that lusters and outdoor elements such as olivewood and hyacinth, creates an interwoven display of spring.
