I am constantly drawn towards industrial designs and decorating styles, so it’s no surprise that I love the atmosphere and design of most breweries. Although my husband and I choose to not drink, we love eating at breweries because of their delicious, savory menus and eclectic atmosphere. They’re the perfect melting pot of rustic wood, moody lighting, metal pipes and geometric shapes–everything I love.
I used these breweries and bars as inspiration for a gender-neutral (and non-cliché) Beer + Popcorn Super Bowl Party theme. The men of the group typically couldn’t care less about how you decorate but dwell on the tastes that are offered. If alcohol suits your fancy, have a beer tasting set-up with smaller glasses and labels for each brew before letting your guests select their favorite. If you prefer the sans-booze route, offer an array of sodas and mixers for guests to pour, mix or grab what and when they want.
Pairing drinks with a variety of flavored popcorn that’s easy to snatch up on your way to the couch, makes the whole atmosphere relaxed and have an easy flow. The more hearty appetizers or meals can be stationed elsewhere in the room to make this the grab-n-go spot for the game. Now, if only we could keep the rivalries this simple…

Glass Beer Mugs (Perfect for those root beer floats that you’ll be serving in the summer)
Folding Table (A party-thrower must-have, for its versatility and ease of use)
Kraft Paper (I buy one of these every 1-2 years and use it for countless events, themes, gift wrapping, everything. Kraft paper is unbelievably versatile and the best “tablecloth” you can have)
